BIAG

The overall purpose of Bihar-IAG is to provide a platform for coordination among national, international, non-government organizations, Red Cross and UN agencies as well as Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA), Disaster Management Department and other relevant line departments to ensure effective Emergency, Preparedness and Response, Disaster Risk Reduction.

BIAG’s Roles and Responsibilities

1. BIAG helps accomplish in a holistic way as well as enhance the progression of work.
2. BIAG coordination unit adds valuable contributions to Go-NGOs and plays vital roles in disaster management in Bihar for both natural and human induced- disasters.
3. Other activities of BIAG include: Regular monitoring of joint meeting held between district administration and NGOs across Bihar. Overall policy implementation and execution at all levels. Help in addressing different sectors ranging from education, livelihood, housing to hospitals in a comprehensive and effective ways. BIAG also helps in bridging the communication gap between Go-NGOs and people.
